FireFighter X multiplayer operations
FireFighterX includes a complete multiplayer solution.
Users can choose between using the complete multiplayer depiction built right into FireFighter X or integrating only the fire simulation into an existing networked setup (direct sim-to-sim or using middleware like FSHost).
The multiplayer feature needs no additional software to work, every FireFighter X installation can be used as either Server or Client process. As it runs in parallel to existing solutions, it can connect simulators of different types, as long as they are ESP (= FSX and P3D) based. It handles a theoretically unlimited number of players fighting the same fires, and if you look closely, you can even see the movement of the other players' control surfaces. If the players exchange their respective airplane models beforehand, the FireFighter X will automatically choose the correct model for depicting the other users' aircraft.
The screenshots on this page show random shots taken out of a multiplayer session using different simulators.
The simulators used are:
For the yellow SOREM CL-215: Lockheed Martin Prepar3D Version 3 on a Win7 64bit i7 3770K
For the white CEGISA CL-215: Microsoft Flight Simulator X Gold on a Windows XP SP3 Pentium 4
! No additional software was used or is necessary - FireFighter X offers the complete Multi User functionality!
